In December 2022, the Norwegian authorities approved a plan for the development and operation of Eldfisk North, initially production launches were scheduled for the second quarter of 2024. Cooperation and efficiency between the companies made it possible to start oil production earlier.

The Eldfisk North project includes 3 subsea sites with 6 wells located approximately 7 kilometers from the Eldfisk complex. The project provides for up to 14 wells, of which 9 are producing wells, and 5 will pump water into the reservoir. The Eldfisk North project will produce 15,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day at its peak and use the available capacity of Eldfisk's refining and transportation facilities.

The project created approximately 4,000 to 4,500 jobs, and more than 80% of the total contract value was transferred to Norwegian enterprises.
