Employees of the Far Eastern branch of Rosgosstrakh held a financial literacy lesson for children within the framework of the forum "Mom, Dad, I am a financially literate family", organized by the Ministry of Finance of Primorsky Krai and the Center for Scientific Research and Advanced Developments. The Bank of Russia, the NIFI of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and other financial organizations also acted as partners of the event.

According to Olga Osipova, director of the Far Eastern branch of the company, teachers and students of the Far Eastern Federal University, with whom Rosgosstrakh has been cooperating for many years, provided assistance in conducting a lesson for children to state insurers.

"Insurance for superheroes and ordinary people" — state insurers held a lesson under this name. During it, the children learned what insurance is and how it can be useful in life; how voluntary medical insurance differs from compulsory; how important it is to insure property. The aspects of long-term life insurance were also analyzed. They also answered the questions of the insurance quiz from Rosgosstrakh, which aroused genuine interest and excitement among the guys. After the lesson, all the participants received souvenirs from the company."

"Having directly participated in the forum and in an entertaining and informative lesson for children, I was once again convinced that the development of financial culture from an early age is one of the important aspects of the development of the financial well—being of the younger generation. And, accordingly, our future — the future of our whole country," says Olga Osipova. — I would like to hope that measures to develop financial literacy will become common practice and will be held on a regular basis. Financial literacy is an important skill that helps a family make the right decisions in achieving their goals related to financial well—being. And insurance is the foundation of well—being, an important tool that helps protect yourself and your loved ones in unforeseen situations."

Olga Osipova noted that the work on improving financial literacy in Primorye is under the control of the regional government. And on behalf of the entire Rosgosstrakh branch, she separately thanked Lyudmila Vasyukova, Associate Professor of the Finance Department of the School of Economics and Management and head of the FEFU Financial Literacy Competence Center for her systematic work in this direction, stressing that Rosgosstrakh's participation in the Hitchhiker's Guide to Aspects of Financial Literacy project gives this process a practice-oriented character.
