To date, the most intense forest fire situation is observed in the Jewish Autonomous Region, the Khabarovsk Territory and the Amur Region. In these three regions, the elimination of 20 forest fires on 31 thousand hectares continues.

"The Federal Forestry Agency is closely monitoring the development of the forest fire situation in the Far East, today about 200 specialists of the Federal Aviation Security Service are helping the Jewish Autonomous Region, the Khabarovsk Territory and the Amur Region. Also, within the framework of interregional maneuvering, the Jewish Autonomous District is assisted by 45 parachutists-firefighters from Primorsky Krai and Yakutia. Khabarovsk Territory should strengthen air monitoring, paying special attention to forests located east of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, and the region should prepare forest fire forces and means that can be quickly sent to this area in case of forest fires," said Alexey Venglinsky, Deputy Head of the Federal Forestry Agency.

During the day, 61 forest fires were eliminated in Russia on about 3.4 thousand hectares in 12 regions of the country, most of the area covered by fire fell on the EAO, Khabarovsk Territory and Amur Region. More than 2 thousand people, 393 units of special equipment and 54 aircraft, 40 of which are conducting air monitoring, were involved in the elimination of fire in the regions of the country. The main cause of all fires in the country remains the human factor.

"I would like to focus on the Republic of Tyva separately. According to forecasts of Roshydromet, an atmospheric front is entering the west of the subject, due to which the wind is increasing. The region should put all forest fire forces on high alert and strengthen cooperation with the fire services of the republic," concluded Alexey Venglinsky.
