SIBUR Holding OJSC considers constructing a gas-processing plant together with Gazprom Neft OJSC, the Company's President Alexander Dyukov said in his interview to Vedomosti.
The Company is going to considerably increase its hydrocarbon production. The Holding has managed to almost double the processing of associated petroleum gas for last years. "Now we are realizing projects on the extension of gas processing facilities. It is possible that a new gas-processing plant will be built at one of our compressor stations, together with Gazprom Neft," the Holding's President said.
According to him, all these projects will want above $1bn of investments. Their implementation will enable the Company to up gas processing from the present 13 bn cubic meters to 18-20 bn cubic meters.
As to the development of the Company's rubber business, Mr. Dyukov informed that the Holding plans to construct new productions in Tolyatti and Voronezh. The Company also hopes to launch a new polypropylene production in Tobolsk and a PVC plant in Nizhny Novgorod.
SIBUR Holding is Russia's largest producer of petrochemical products, such as rubbers, tyres, polymers, and liquefied gas. At present it produces 34% of liquefied gas, 56% of rubbers, some 20% of polymers, 37% of tyres in Russia. Gazprom holds 25% shares in the Holding, Gazprombank owns 75% minus one share. In 2005, the Holding's proceeds totaled RUB 106.6 bn; its net income was RUB 10.9bn.
