Transaero will begin flights to the USA in 2008.

The Open Society "Transaero Airlines" plans to begin flights to the USA in 2008. It is spoken about in the company's report. In September, 7th, 2007 Rusaviation has given Transaero license for performance of regular flights to New York and Los Angeles, it was informed by the representative of the company.

The Airline also plans to begin flights on a route Moscow-Miami.

We shall remind, that in 1996 - 1999 Transaero carried out regular flights from Moscow to Los Angeles, and in 1998 has made the first cross-country-polar flight on a route Moscow - Krasnoyarsk - Toronto - New York.

Transaero is one of the largest Russian Airlines, enters into the five of leaders of the Russian air carriers, it is based in 1991. The company owns 28 planes basically of the western manufacture, in particular, seven Boeing747, seven Boeing 767, thirteen Boeing 737, one TU-214. Il-86 belonging to airline is leased.

The routing network of the company covers almost 80 directions in Russia and European, Asian, American and African countries.

Transaero incomes in 2006 have made nearby 13.63 billion rbl., that is 37.84 more, than in 2005. The passenger turnover for the accounting period has grown up 47.49% to 7.792 billion passenger kilometers.

The largest shareholders of the company are chairman of Council of directors Alexander Pleshakov and the members of his family directly supervising 44.14% of shares. A.Pleshakov owns 32.81% of shares, his wife - the general director of Transaero Olga Pleshakova - supervises 8.08% of shares, his mother - the chairman of Interstate aviacommittee Tatyana Anodina - owns 3.25% of shares.
