Oracle Corporation has entered into agreement for the acquisition of SelectMinds, a supplied of cloud-based social talent sourcing and corporate alumni management applications, Oracle informed.

The combination of Oracle and SelectMinds' complementary social sourcing capabilities is expected to create a comprehensive recruiting, candidate sourcing, and talent management offering for organizations to reach quality referrals through social recruiting, the company points out.

Oracle develops and produces open-source and integrated software and hardware.

US GAAP net profit of Oracle for Q1 of financial year 2013 rose by 11% to $2 billion against the same period in 2012. Income decreased by 2% to $8.2 billion.
