On August 16, OJSC MegaFon established indirect control over 100% of RATMIR-Telecom LLC (Tver), MegaFon informed.
The Tver-based company is directly owned by MegaFon's subsidiary Fairlie Holding and Finance Limited registered on the British Virgin Islands.
RATMIR-Telecom LLC has been providing telecommunications services to physical persons and legal entities since 1999 being one of the leaders in the market of Tver.
OJSC MegaFon (tax number: 7812014560) established in 1993 as CJSC North-West GSM and renamed as OJSC MegaFon in 2002, is currently the second largest mobile operator in the Russian Federation providing services to more than 64 million subscribers. In June 2010, MegaFon acquired 100% of Sinterra shares. MegaFon's subsidiaries are operating in Tajikistan, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. MegaFon's shareholding structure is as follows: TeliaSonera (25.17%), AF Telecom (50% plus 1 share), MegaFon's subsidiary company MegaFon Investments (Cyprus) Limited (7.57%), MegaFon CEO I. Tavrin (2.5%).
MegaFon's authorized capital is RUB 62 million represented by 620 million shares at par value of 0.1 rubles.
IFRS net profit of the company for Q2 2013, according to the company's unaudited statement, grew 8.1-fold to RUB 13.581 billion from RUB 1.667 billion for the same period in 2012. Consolidated revenue increased by 8.4% to RUB 72.23 billion from RUB 66.648 billion, OIBDA grew by 21.8% to RUB 34.302 billion from RUB 28.156 billion, OIBDA margin to 47.5% from 42.2%.
According to the information and retrieval system DataCapital, RAS net profit of MegaFon for Q1 2013 grew by 40.1% to RUB 13.713 billion from RUB 9.79 billion for the same period in 2012. Revenue increased by 6.98% to RUB 62.894 billion from RUB 58.788 billion.
