The average consumer prices in the Russian Federation did not change from August 20 to 26, increased by 4.5% since January 1, 2013, the Federal State Statistics Service informed.
At the same moment in 2012, consumer prices increased by 0.2% since August 1, 0.1% in August, 4.7% since the start of the year.
Last week, chicken eggs and granulated sugar went up in price by 1.9% and 0.9%, respectively, milk, quark, sour cream, cheeses, butter, rice by 0.3-0.6%. At the same time, flour, buckwheat, lamb meat fell in price by 0.2-0.4%.
Fruits and vegetables dropped in price by 3.2% on average (potatoes by 7%, bulb onion, cabbage, carrots by 5.1-5.5%.
Earlier, the Federal State Statistics Service reported no change in consumer prices in Russia from August 6 to 12 and from August 13 to 19.
