M&A: Shareholding structure of Izvestia changed

The shareholding structure of OJSC Izvestia changed, the company informed.

CJSC Mosizdatinvest withdrew from Izvestia selling its 9.56% stake. Sovremenniye Investitsionniye Sistemy LLC (Modern Investment Systems) acquired 23.5% of the shares in Izvestia.

OJSC Izvestia was established by means of privatization on November 3, 1992. One of its chief production and commercial activities is the preparation and publishing of the daily national newspaper Izvestia.

The company's authorized capital is RUB 7.5 million represented by 7.5 million common shares at par value of 1 ruble. Izvestia's principal shareholder is Invest-Media LLC (50.2%) wholly owned by CJSC National Media Group.

According to the information and retrieval system DataCapital, net profit (RAS) of Izvestia for 9 months 2012 was RUB 66.451 million against a net loss of RUB 63.205 million for the same period in 2011. Revenue increased by 1.5% to RUB 330.598 million from RUB 325.825 million.
