OJSC Coal Company Zarechnaya received OJSC Anzherskaya Mine Office from OJSC Russian Fuel Company on account of RFC's debt, the Kommersant reported.
According to the paper's sources, Anzherskaya Mine has been undergoing bankruptcy proceedings since December 2012, while Coal Company Zarechnaya undertook to service its debt. Most of the debt (over RUB 1.3 billion) is payable to Coal Company Zarechnaya which leased equipment and lent funds for mine upgrade purposes in 2010-2012.
OJSC Russian Fuel Company (Rostopprom) founded 1994 is a diversified fuel company integrating industrial and sales activities. Rosimushchestvo (the Federal Agency for State Property Management) owns 72.75% of RFC's authorized capital, Severny Morskoy Put Engineering Bureau LLC (Northern Sea Route) holds 18.82%, OJSC International Bank for Trade Cooperation (MBTS-Bank) owns 6.19%.
Rostopprom coordinates operations of a network of fuel companies and enterprises, produces and processes peat, wood, coal, and oil. As of January 1, 2006, the company's authorized capital was RUB 48.216 million.
Coal Company Zarechnaya (tax number: 4212017500) is a Russian coal mining holding which is part of the diversified production association Kuzbass. Zarechnaya exercises control over the coal mining and auxiliary enterprises. For today, it manages six coal producers (three acting mines and three mines under construction), a coal-cleaning plant and a number of auxiliary enterprises: OJSC Zarechnaya Mine, Mine Site Oktyabrskiy, OJSC Alexievskaya Mine, Karagaylinskoye Mine Management Office LLC, JSC PP Sputnik, Gramoteinskiye CEMW LLC, Georesurs LLC, CJSC Technoparkinvest-Kuzbass, JSC BALTIC COAL TERMINAL.
The potential coal reserves stock at the licensed sites of the holding amount to 1.986 billion tonnes, the strata being 1 to 5.3 meters thick. The companies coal mining enterprises extract and clean coal of grades G and D. In the short term, the company expects to start production of the coal grades Zh, GZh, GZhO.
Coal Company Zarechnaya exports more than 85% of its ready products. Among is consumers are coking plants, power enterprises and other production companies in more than 12 countries of the world including Spain, the UK, the Netherlands.
