M&A: FAS permits Arial to buy 66.66% in Aerofirst

Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service satisfied the application of CJSC Arial (Moscow region, the Domodedovo airport) for the acquisition of 66.66% of the voting shares in CJSC Aerofirst (Moscow region, Sheremetyevo-2), the company informed.

This decision is only effective if the related competition order is complied with.

It will be recalled that OJSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines will withdraw from the capital of CJSC Aerofirst selling 200 ordinary nominal book-entry shares of Aerofirst, as decided by the Board of Directors of Aeroflot.

According to media reports, the 66.7% stake in Aerofirst will be sold to Arial, but the deal is not finalized yet.

Earlier, Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service satisfied the application of Dufry International AG (Switzerland) for the acquisition of 66.66% of Aerofirst's voting shares. Also, the regulatory body satisfied the application of Rubis Holdings Limited (Cyprus) for the acquisition of 66.67% of Aerofirst's voting shares.

Aerofirst owns duty free shops at the Sheremetyevo airport. Arial is a duty free operator at the Domodedovo airport.
