Number of banks reduced 2.7%.

The number of the operating banks in Russia in 2012 was reduced 2.7% to 897 from 922 by 2012 start, the Bank of Russia informed.

The number of credit institutions moved down 2.2% to 956 from 978.

There are 73 credit institutions with 100% of foreign capital and 44 with above 50% of it in Russia.
