Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service granted the application of Birdman Investments Limited (Limassol, Cyprus for the acquisition of 25% of the voting shares in OJSC Multiregional TransitTelecom, the regulatory body informed.
Together with the shares owned by FinTrust LLC (belonging to the same group as Birdman Investments Limited), the group's interest in MTT will increase to 100%.
Birdman Investments Limited is principally engaged in investment activities.
OJSC Multiregional TransitTelecom (MTT, name as per Articles, tax number: 7705017253) is a long-distance and international telecommunications operator. The company provides services using a countrywide multiservice network with points of presence in all regions of Russia. Since its establishment in 1994, MTT has been providing local and long-distance communication services to mobile service providers as well as additional data transmission services. In 2005, the company obtained a license for providing long-distance and international telecommunication services to ultimate consumers all over the Russian Federation. Today, MTT also correlates the networks of mobile and fixed-line telephony service providers in the Russian Federation including foreign telecom operators. The company's authorized capital is RUB 1.177 million.
According to the information and retrieval system DataCapital, net loss (RAS) of MTT for 2010 increased 3.4-fold to RUB 715.021 million from RUB 208.541 million for 2009. Revenue decreased by 16.4% to RUB 11.332 billion from RUB 13.555 billion.
Net loss (RAS) of MTT for 2011 decreased by 11% to RUB 635.993 million from RUB 715.021 million for 2010. Revenue decreased by 4.6% to RUB 10.813 billion from RUB 11.332 billion.
