On March 5, the Russian Stock Market closed higher: the MICEX rose 1.35% to 1484.22, the RTS gained 1.64% to 1523.34.
Surgutneftegas's preferred stock rose most on the MICEX (3.02% to RUB 22.433). Gazprom's common stock went up 2.32% to RUB 136.11, Sberbank's stock gained 1.16% to RUB 104.09.
The MICEX stock market registered transactions for a total of RUB 397.422 billion, Gazprom's stock being the largest contributor (RUB 8.313 billion).
In the RTS Standard, Surgutneftegas's preferred stock saw the greatest gain (3.51% to RUB 22.51). Gazprom's common stock rose 2.59% to RUB 136.13, Sberbank's stock went up 1.38% to RUB 104.15, VTB gained 1.11% to RUB 0.0563.
The trading volume in the RTS Standard was $55.681 million, Sberbank's stock taking the lead in the amount (RUB 650.146 million) and number of transactions (2,601).
