As of January 1, 2013, the public debt of the Russian Federation stood at $50.769 billion (EUR 38.331 billion), according to a statement of the Ministry of Finance.
For the twelve-month period starting January 1, 2012, the public debt increased by 41.8%.
As of January 1, 2013, Russia's debt on external bonded loans amounted to $34.91 billion, debt to the official Paris Club creditors not subject to restructuring totaled $327.1 million, debt to official creditors outside of the Paris Club stood at $1.096 billion, debt to the official ex-CMEA creditors was $991 million, the USSR commercial debt was $22.9 million, while payables to international financial institutions amounted to $2.026 billion.
