Russia's President Vladimir Putin intends to nominate Elvira Nabiullina, ex-minister of economic development, as the head of the Central Bank of Russia, the Kremlin press service informed.
The President held a working meeting with E. Nabiullina and Sergey Ignatyev, the incumbent Chairman of the Bank of Russia voicing his intention to nominate E. Nabiullina as Ignatyev's successor.
S. Ignatyv will continue in his office until June 23, 2013. Under the law, the President is to submit a nominee to replace him at least three months prior to the changeover (March 23)
