In January-February 2013, the industrial output in Russia decreased by 1.5% year-on-year, against a 4.9% growth in the same period 2012. In February alone, the industrial output dropped 2.1% year-on-year, 0.2% month-on-month, the Federal State Statistics Service informed.

The mineral production index decreased 2.2% year-on-year, 6.7% month-on-month, 1.7% in January-Febraury.

In the manufacturing industry, production in February dropped 0.1% year-on-year, rose 5.8% month-on-month, decreased by 0.2% in January-Febraury.

Production and distribution of electric power, gas and water in February decreased by 10% year-on-year, 10% month-on-month, 4.1% in January-Febraury
