Total wage arrears in Russia in February 2013 increased by 4.7% and amounted to RUB 2.404 billion as of March 1, the Federal State Statistics Service informed.

Wage arrears due to the lack of locally available funds as of March 1 totaled RUB 2.385 billion (99.2% of the total arrears). As compared with February 1, they increased by 7.4%.

Wage arrears due to delayed transfers from budgets of various levels increased 4-fold to RUB 19 million in February. Backlog of payments from the federal budget decreased 8.5-fold to RUB 8 million, from regional budgets rose by 53.6% to RUB 2 million, from local budgets by 52.5% to RUB 9 million
