In December 2012, overdue accounts payable of Russian enterprises and institutions dropped 5.7% against November to RUB 1.188 trillion, by 1.6% year-on-year, the Federal State Statistics Service reported.

In the mineral production sector, the overdue accounts payable in December decreased by 7.3% month-on-month, 12.2% year-on-year to RUB 123.5 billion.

Overdue accounts payable of Russian manufacturing companies decreased by 3% month-on-month, rose 1.5% year-on-year to RUB 341.5 billion.

Overdue accounts payable of Russian companies producing and distributing electric power, gas and water decreased by 2.2% month-on-month, increased by 25.1% year-on-year to RUB 257 billion.

The share of overdue accounts payable in total accounts payable decreased by 0.4 percentage points in December to 5% as of the end of the month.
