The share of arrears on the total mortgage loans in Russia as of September 1, 2013 was 1.77%, the Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending informed.
The share of arrears on ruble-denominated loans was 1.2% against the highest percentage of 2.8% in late 2010.
The share of arrears on the mortgage loans granted in foreign currencies was 12.52%. Arrears on the loans denominated in foreign currencies reached RUB 15.1 billion (36% of the total arrears), although loans denominated in foreign currencies account for a mere 5% in the banks' mortgage portfolio.
