The new polypropylene production complex was launched in operation in Tobolsk Oct. 15 by SIBUR Holding, as it was informed.
Tobolsk-Polimer is one of the largest producers of polypropylene in the world and the most wide-scale investment project realized in the petrochemical sector.
The project demanded about 60bn rub. of investments.
The complex includes two units. It is located near Tobolsk-Neftekahim Plant which is expected to deliver about 600ths ton of propane per year for the new complex. It is aimed to cover the polypropylene deficit on the Russian market. In 2012 the output exceeded 660ths ton; demand being higher 880ths ton. According to the IHS Chemical forecast the consumption in Russia is expected to move up 4.2% per year by 2020. The new complex will permit Russia to become an exporter of this product on the world markets.
In 2010 VEB released the credits in the volume of $1.441bn.
SIBUR Holding (TIN 7727547261) is the largest petrochemical products maker in Russia. In 2011 above 18bn m3 of associated gas were refined.
The one holder is the Cyprus-based SIBUR Ltd. which beneficiaries involve L.Mikhelson - 57.5%, G.Timchenko - 37.5%, top managers of SIBUR Holding -
The 2012 net profit lost 4.3% (IAS) to come to 60.085bn rub. The revenues increased 9.1% to 271.3bn rub.; EBITDA gained 82.3bn rub. due to 5.1% in
drop; EBITDA margin reached 30.3%.
The 2012 net profit (RAS) dropped 44% to 52.568bn rub.; revenues increased 2% to come to 243.329bn rub. from 238.534bn rub.; gross profit declined to 101.804bn rub. from 102.263bn rub.
