Mail.Ru Group Ltd. withdrew from the authorized capital of Facebook Inc., selling the remaining 14.2 million shares for $527 million in July-August 2013, Mail.Ru informed.
Prior to this transaction, Mail.Ru Group owned 2.25% in Facebook (as of May 2012).
Mail.ru Group Ltd. owns the same-name web portal, social networks Odnoklassniki.Ru and Moy Mir, instant messengers Mail.Ru Agent and ICQ as well as minority stakes in the VKontakte social networking service (39.99%), the Qiwi payment system (15.04%), and some minor Russian and Ukrainian companies.
To date, Mail.ru Group has issued 96,068,000 Type A shares and 113,036,211 common shares.
Aggregate IFRS net profit of the group for H1 2013, according to the company's unaudited statement, grew by 27.6% to RUB 5.063 billion from RUB 3.969 billion for the same period in 2012. Aggregate segment revenue increased by 28.4% to RUB 12.442 billion from RUB 9.693 billion. Aggregate segment EBITDA grew by 26.1% to RUB 6.706 billion from RUB 5.318 billion, EBITDA margin decreased to 53.9% from 54.9%.
