South Stream Transport B.V. and Siemens AG signed contract on the delivery of electric systems and measuring equipment for the building of the sea sector within the realization of the South Stream project, Gazprom informed.
The planning, building and maintenance of the sea sector of the South Stream project is provided by JV South Stream Transport B.V. The holders involve Gazprom (50%), ENI (20%), Wintershall and EDF (15%).
South Stream project is realized by Gazprom. It will have 63bn m3 in capacity and cross the Black Sea area to diversify the gas export routes to Europe. The sector covers 930 km.
In Dec. 2012 the building started near Anapa (Krasnodarsky reg.). The gas pipeline is expected to be launched in operation 2015 end.
