11.1% of people below poverty line in Russia in 2013

In 2013, 15.9 million Russian citizens (11.1% of the country's total population) had money incomes below the minimum subsistence level, the Federal State Statistics Service informed.

Their number increased by 1.9% year-on-year against 15.6 million people (10.9% of the country's total population) in 2012.

The minimum subsistence level was RUB 7,326 in Q4 2013, RUB 7,429 in Q3 2013, RUB 7,372 in Q2 2013, RUB 7,095 in Q1 2013.

The highest poverty percentage in the Russian Federation (33.5%, 49 million citizens) was registered in 1992
