Russia's external public debt down 1.4% in March 2014, 1.6% since January 1

As of April 1, 2014, Russia's external public debt was $54.882 billion (EUR 39.928 billion) decreasing (in US dollar terms) by 1.4% against March 1, by 1.6% since the start of the year, according to a statement of the Ministry of Finance.

Eurobond loans accounted for the bulk of Russia's external public debt ($40.032 billion).

Russia's debt to the official Paris Club creditors not subject to restructuring was $119.5 million, debt to official creditors outside of the Paris Club was $1.026 billion, debt to the official ex-CMEA creditors was $942.2 million. The USSR commercial debt was $22.6 million, payables to international financial institutions amounted to $1.411 billion
