In July 2014, producers' prices of industrial commodities in Russia increased by 1.6% against the previous month, by 6% since the start of the year, according to the Federal State Statistics Service's preliminary data (for reference, producers' prices increased by 2% in July 2013 against the previous month, by 1.1% year-on-year for the 7-month period in 2013).
The headline inflation rate was 0.5% in July 2014, 5.3% since January 1.
In the mineral production sector, products rose in price by 2% in July, by 9.1% since the start of the year.
In the manufacturing sector, products increased in price by 1.4% in July, by 5.8% against January 1.
In the electric power, gas and water production and distribution sector, prices increased by 2.1% in July, by 2.3% for the seven-month period.
In the segment of fuel and energy resources, prices of natural gas and gas condensate increased by by 12.3%, natural gas liquefaction services for transportation purposes by 10.6%, oil and gas production services by 5.6% in July.
In the mineral production sector (except for fuel and energy resources), the mining and processing of ferrous metal ores became cheaper by 11.2%, mineral raw materials for the production of chemicals and fertilizers went down in price by 3.9%.
In the manufacturing sector, certain kinds of petroleum products advanced in price: dry gas by 34%, liquefied propane and butane by 9.8%, primary products for petroleum bitumens by 9.5%, fuel jet kerosene (aviation kerosene) by 6.4%, motor gasolines by 5.9%, liquid petroleum road bitumens by 4.7%.
