M&A: FAS Russia permits Aeroflot to buy 100% equity stake in Otdelstroy-Invest

Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service considered the application of JSC Aeroflot Ц Russian Airlines for the purchase of a 100% equity stake in Otdelstroy-Invest LLC, the regulatory body informed.

Subject to Articles 28, 33 of Russia's Competition Law, the Federal Antimonopoly Service decided to grant the said application.

The core business of Otdelstroy-Invest LLC (Moscow, tax number: 7705412550) is the leasing of own non-residential real estate.

OJSC Aeroflot Ц Russian Airlines (tax number: 7712040126) is the largest Russian air carrier accounting for 39% of Russia's international and 11% of domestic air service market. The state owns a controlling interest in Aeroflot (51.17%). The company's fleet consists of Tu-134, Tu-154, IL-96, A319, A320, A321, A330, and B767 airliners.

IFRS net profit of Aeroflot Group for 9 months 2013 increased by 81.1% to $545.2 million from $296.2 million the year before. Revenue increased by 16.8% to $7.033 billion from $6.021 billion, operating profit by 99.9% to $849.8 million from $425.1 million, EBITDA by 72.8% to $1.131 billion from $654.5 million.

According to the information and retrieval system DataCapital, RAS net profit of OJSC Aeroflot Ц Russian Airlines for 9 months 2013 grew by 40.07% to RUB 19.297 billion from RUB 13.777 billion the year before. Revenue increased by 17.87% to RUB 154.996 billion from RUB 131.497 billion, sales profit by 8.07% to RUB 11.118 billion from RUB 10.287 billion, pre-tax profit by 38.62% to RUB 24.287 billion from RUB 17.52 billion.
