The average consumer prices in the Russian Federation increased by 0.3% from January 1 to 13, matching the inflation rate for the same period in 2013, the Federal State Statistics Service informed.
Since the start of the month, vodka rose in price by 1.5%, lamb and mutton, milk, quark, butter and cheeses by 0.3-0.6%. Eggs dropped in price by 1.4%, sugar by 0.4%, vermicelli by 0.2%. Fruits and vegetables went up in price by 2.4% on average (tomatoes and cucumbers by 7.4% and 6.7%, respectively, potatoes, onion, cabbage by 3-4%.
