Catch of aquatic bioresources in Russia up 0.5% YoY to 2.24 million tonnes

As of July 15m 2014, the catch of aquatic bioresources by Russian fishing companies since January 1 increased by 0.5% year-on-year to 2.24 million tonnes, according to the data provided by the Federal Agency for Fishery (Rosrybolovstvo).

In particular, the catch of aquatic bioresources was 1.54 million thousand tonnes in the Pacific / Far Eastern Basin (+49.4 thousand tonnes year-on-year), 354.8 thousand tonnes in the Northern Basin (-5.1 thousand tonnes year-on-year); 27.4 thousand tonnes in the Baltic Sea (+0.9 thousand tonnes year-on-year), 22.9 thousand tonnes in the AzovBlack Sea Basin (+6.3 thousand tonnes), 19 thousand tonnes in the Caspian sea (-0.9 thousand tonnes).

Catch in other countries' waters under fishing quotas was 185.3 thousand tonnes (-42.3 thousand tonnes year-on-year), catch in convention areas and the open part of the oceans reached 91.4 thousand tonnes (+2.1 thousand tonnes year-on-year).
