Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service permitted Airport-Holding LLC to purchase 74.9997% of the shares in JSC International Airport Nizhny Novgorod, the regulatory body informed.
The transaction applied for will not restrict competition, the regulatory authority commented.
JSC Koltsovo-Invest (renamed as OJSC Airports of Regions in June 2014, tax number: 6672150375) is part of Renova Group, owns 51.9% of the authorized capital of OJSC Airport Koltsovo (Yekaterinburg).
JSC International Airport Nizhny Novgorod (IANN, tax number: 5256045754) serves international and domestic flights being the principal alternate airport for the Moscow air hub. At the initiative of Nizhny Novgorod region's government supported by the federal authorities and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, an open competition was arranged in February 2011 to pick a potential investor for the international airport Nizhny Novgorod, which OJSC Airport Koltsovo was declared to have won.
The stage-by-stage reconstruction program for the airport complex which will be implemented with the new shareholder is laid out for 10 years from 2011 to 2021. Amount of investments will reach about RUB 2.7 billion.
The international airport Nizhny Novgorod is allowed to accept more than 40 types of aircraft produced both in Russia and abroad. Among them are: Airbus (five types), Boeing (five types), Embraer (three types), ATR, Fokker, CRJ, Saab (two types each), IL (seven types), TU (four types), AN (six types), Yak (two types), all types of helicopters and most common types of business aircraft.
In 2014, the 4-month passenger throughput of the airport increased by 23.6% year-on-year to 279.098 thousand.
According to the DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net profit of JSC International Airport Nizhny Novgorod for 2013 grew by 14.21% to RUB 186.696 million from RUB 163.464 million in 2012. Revenue increased by 32.26% to RUB 729.987 million from RUB 551.934 million, sales profit by 11.06% to RUB 187.489 million from RUB 168.817 million.
