In January-September 2015, PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel reduced nickel production by 3.05% to 193.754 thousand tonnes from 199.849 thousand tonnes the year before, the company informed.
The decline mainly resulted from scheduled repair works at the Harjavalta refinery in Finland as well as the reduction of low-margin tolling operations at Kola MMC, the statement emphasizes.
Copper production grew by 0.28% to 274.053 thousand tonnes from 273.285 thousand tonnes, palladium production decreased by 1.61% to 2.074 million troy ounces from 2.108 million troy ounces, platinum output increased by 0.39% to 514 koz from 512 koz.
The Polar division and the Kola MMC reduced nickel production by 2.6% to 163.23 million tonnes from 167.587 million tonnes, production of marketable copper by 0.65% to 263.857 million tonnes from 265.581 million tonnes, palladium output by 2.19% to 2.006 million troy ounces from 2.051 million troy ounces, platinum production by 0.61% to 488 koz from 491 koz.

IFRS net profit of PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel for H1 2015 grew by 2.54% to $1.493 billion from $1.456 billion the year before. Revenue decreased by 14.03% to $4.907 billion from $5.708 billion, EBITDA increased by 8.49% to $2.708 billion from $2.496 billion, EBITDA margin was 55% against 44% in January-June 2014.
According to AK&M Information Agency's DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net profit of Norilsk Nickel for January-September 2015 grew by 47.78% to RUB 146.199 billion from RUB 98.93 billion the year before. Revenue increased by 32.92% to RUB 321.382 billion from RUB 241.792 billion, sales profit by 54.02% to RUB 204.171 billion from RUB 132.565 billion, pre-tax profit by 34.93% to RUB 169.649 billion from RUB 125.66 billion.
