RAS net profit of PJSC Port Vanino for 2016 increased 2.17 times to RUB 1.972 billion from RUB 907.157 million the year before, the company reported.
Revenue increased by 40.12% to RUB 3.853 billion from RUB 2.75 billion, sales profit by 98.37% to RUB 2.023 billion from RUB 1.02 billion, pre-tax profit 2.06 times to RUB 2.47 billion from RUB 1.2 billion.
PJSC Vanino Port (full name: PJSC Vanino Commercial Sea Port, tax number: 2709001590), a stevedoring company in Khabarovsk area, provides cargo handling and accompanying forwarding services. The port is a transshipment location from which the goods are delivered to the northeast regions of Russia, Australia, the USA, Japan, South Korea, China and other Asia-Pacific countries.
Vanino Port is located in the naturally deep Vanina Bay in the Strait of Tartary which links the Pacific Ocean's Sea of Okhotsk and Sea of Japan. Vanino is the largest transport hub in the Khabarovsk Region and one of Russia's ten largest ports. Navigation at the port is open year round.
In January-May 2016, the cargo turnover of PJSC Vanino Port increased by 33% year-on-year (713 thousand tonnes) to 2.9 million tonnes.

Revenue grew 2.11 times to RUB 2.858 billion from RUB 1.356 billion, sales profit 3.08 times to RUB 1.539 billion from RUB 499.362 million, pre-tax profit 3.51 times to RUB 1.837 billion from RUB 523.797 million.
