On March 17, 2017, RAEX (Expert RA) Rating Agency affirmed the reliability rating of Capital-Polis Insurance Company at 'A' (I). The outlook on the rating is affirmed at 'stable', the agency informed.
The positive rating drivers include a high positive gap between the required and actual solvency margin, a low ratio of expenses to net premiums, high return on assets and equity ratios, etc.
The rating is constrained by a high net loss ratio, poor insurance portfolio diversification combined with a high loss ratio in the principal insurance segment and other negative factors.
Capital-Polis Insurance Company specializes in VHI and comprehensive vehicle insurance. According to the Bank of Russia, in 2016, the company ranked 81st place in terms of premiums, 17th in the VHI segment, 37th in the comprehensive vehicle insurance segment. According to RAEX (Expert RA), as of September 30, 2016, the insurance company's assets amounted to RUB 1,408 million, equity capital was RUB 401 million, authorized capital was RUB 120 million. In 2016, the company earned RUB 1,199 million in insurance premiums.
