SIBUR has launched a logistics digitization project with a view of optimizing rail transportation services provided by SIBUR-Trans, SIBUR informed.
Under the project, the company will consolidate and process on a centralized basis huge amounts of data about special features of the rolling stock in operation, railcar locations, the announced and actually performed transport operations to ensure best logistics decisions. The analytical tools will be able to recommend the choice of railcars for a specific transport operation, to determine the size of consignments, to predict delivery times for loaded and empty cars and other parameters.
The project is implemented as part of SIBUR's large-scale digital transformation which promises to bring the company to a new level of efficiency owing to up-to-date production, organizational, business processes and the latest achievements of the fourth industrial revolution.

IFRS net profit of SIBUR for 2017 grew by 6.3% to RUB 120.2 billion. The company's revenue increased by 10.4% year-on-year to RUB 454.6 billion. Capex decreased by 7% against the 2016 to RUB 135.3 billion.
