In February, ALROSA Group sold $541.9 million worth of rough and polished diamonds. Rough diamond sales by value amounted to $532.8 million, polished diamond sales ? $9.1 million, the company informed.
In January?February 2018, ALROSA's rough and polished diamond sales amounted to $1.046 billion. Rough diamonds were sold for $1.032 billion, polished diamonds ? for $14.6 million.
"In February, the core diamond markets were quite strong. The diamond cutting sector continues replenishing the stock. Demand for diamond products was also backed up by good jewelry sales in China on the eve of the Chinese New Year. Prices for diamonds in most size categories grew in January-February," ALROSA Deputy CEO Yury Okoemov said commenting on the sales results.

IFRS net profit of ALROSA for H1 2017 decreased by 46% to RUB 48.9 billion from RUB 90.4 billion the year before. Revenue was RUB 155.6 billion against RUB 186.7 billion the year before. EBITDA reached RUB 72.8 billion, net cash flow was RUB 50.3 billion.
