In 2018, the passenger flow of JSC Russian Railways increased by 3.4% year-on-year to 1.155 billion passengers kilometers, the company informed.
In particular, 110 million passengers were transported in long-distance trains (+7.9%), 1.045 billion passengers in commuter trains (+2.9%).
The passenger turnover increased by 5.2% to 129.3 billion kilometers.
JSC Russian Railways (tax number: 7708503727) was established on October 1, 2003 on the basis of the Ministry of Railway Communication. The state holds 100% of the company's shares which owns a railway system stretching ca. 85,500 km. The company's authorized capital is RUB 2.23 trillion.
IFRS net profit of JSC Russian Railways for H1 2018 grew by 21.45% to RUB 64.761 billion from RUB 53.323 billion for the same period in 2017. Revenue increased by 7.57% to RUB 1.164 trillion from RUB 1.082 trillion, operating profit (adjusted for state subsidies) by 11.05% to RUB 131.14 billion from RUB 118.089 billion, pre-tax profit by 20.83% to RUB 93.898 billion from RUB 77.713 billion. EBITDA grew by 4.7% to RUB 256.2 billion, EBITDA margin was 25%.
According to AK&M Information Agency's DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net profit of JSC Russian Railways for H1 2018 decreased by 18.48% to RUB 25.585 billion from RUB 31.385 billion for the same period in 2017. Revenue increased by 5.78% to RUB 875.813 billion from RUB 827.933 billion, sales profit decreased by 13.62% to RUB 78.139 billion from RUB 90.463 billion, pre-tax profit by 11.77% to RUB 45.971 billion from RUB 52.102 billion.
