Businessman Harry Shonia, a co-owner of the Barnaul dairy plant, has acquired the Modest factory, the only producer of baby dairy food in Altai krai, Kommersant reported.
The 100% state-owned stake in Modest was put up for auction for RUB 63.6 million and eventually sold for RUB 64 million.
Barnaul dairy plant (employing the Molochnaya Skazka ("Dairy Fairy Tale"), Biosnezhka ("Snow White Bio"), "Lact" and "Chuysky" brands) is a leading manufacturer and processor of dairy products in Altai krai with a total output of about 500 tonnes of finished products per day. The plant established in 1978 is located near the Modest building.
Harry Shonia owns the largest stake in share in Barnaul dairy plant (29.16%), the company has ten more private co-owners. Harry Shonia also co-owns a number of real estate management companies.
