A fraudulent scheme with fake photo shoots is spreading in Russia. This is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Scammers under the guise of novice photographers contact models on social networks and offer their services on favorable terms: the girl only needs to pay the rent of the studio.
Then the fake photographers send the victims links to the websites of "trusted studios". There, the girls are offered to choose the time and date of the shooting, pay the rent and additionally — stylist services and props.
After that, the victim is directed to another domain, allegedly related to the payment service. After specifying the card details, the model receives an SMS with confirmation and a one-time code, which she enters on a fraudulent website. This way, the attackers get the data they need and withdraw money from someone else's account.
