Research conducted by MTS PJSC and the platform Bronevik.com , showed an increase in the popularity of bleisure travel among residents of Russia. In St. Petersburg, as well as in other cities such as Sochi, Vladivostok, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Novosibirsk, business trips including weekends have become a trend. This is stated in the MTS message.
Thus, 44% of business bookings of hotel rooms in St. Petersburg account for combining work trips with vacations. The number of such business trips in Russia increased by 19%.
The average hotel booking time for bleisure trips is 10 days before arrival, while for regular business trips this period is reduced to a week. The average duration of such trips is 4 nights, which is more than for regular business trips.
According to the results of the study, the average check for bleisure trips amounted to 17.4 thousand rubles, while ordinary business trips cost an average of 7.9 thousand rubles.
