Aeroflot increased passenger turnover by 58.7 in August%

In August 2021, Aeroflot increased its traffic volume by 50.3% to 5.5 million passengers year-on-year. Compared to the same period in 2019, the indicator decreased by 10.9%. This is evidenced by the message of the airline.

4.5 million passengers were transported on domestic lines. This is 30.2% more than a year earlier and 31.3% more than in the same period of 2019.

Passenger traffic increased by 58.7% compared to the same period in 2020 and decreased by 23.2% compared to the same period in 2019. The maximum passenger turnover increased by 58.9% year-on-year and by 19.8% compared to the same period in 2019. The percentage of passenger seat occupancy decreased by 0.1 percentage points year-on-year and amounted to 86.5%.

PJSC Aeroflot-Russian Airlines (TIN 7712040126) is the largest Russian air carrier. Aeroflot's loss under IFRS for 2020 amounted to 113.13 billion rubles against a profit of 11.96 billion rubles a year earlier. Revenue decreased by 55.4% to RUB 302.18 billion from RUB 677.88 billion, EBITDA - by 84% to RUB 26.99 billion from RUB 168.9 billion.

Aeroflot's loss for the first quarter of 2021 under IFRS amounted to RUB 25.14 billion against a loss of RUB 22.48 billion a year earlier. Revenue decreased by 39.1% to RUB 75.5 billion from RUB 123.9 billion, EBITDA - by 41% to RUB 7.7 billion from RUB 13 billion.

Aeroflot's net loss under RAS for the first half of 2021 amounted to RUB 26.3 billion, compared to a loss of RUB 42.3 billion a year earlier. Revenue increased by 23.2% to RUB 149.9 billion from RUB 121.7 billion. The gross loss amounted to RUB 27.67 billion.
