Aeroflot resumes sales of air tickets at subsidized rates for Russian Far East residents

Aeroflot has launched sales of tickets under the program of subsidized air carriage services for residents of the Far Eastern Federal District. One-way tickets will cost them RUB 10,200 (including all fees and taxes). Therefore, travelling at subsidized rates will be cheaper for local residents compared with the current flat tariffs, the air carrier informed.

Air carriage operations are subsidized under the Russian Government's Decree No. 215 dated March 2, 2018. Tickets at subsidized rates are available to all residents of the Far Eastern Federal District whose permanent place of residence is in the Far Eastern Federal District.

Aeroflot Group is the largest aviation holding in Russia comprising a number of subsidiaries: JSC DONAVIA, Rossiya Airlines, JSC Orenburg airlines (Orenair), JSC Aurora Airlines (the united Far East-based airline that carried out the first flight in November 2013) as well as Pobeda Airlines providing low-cost air transport services. RAS loss of Aeroflot for 2020 amounted to RUB 96.53 billion against a profit of RUB 5.29 billion a year earlier. Revenue dropped by 58.4% to RUB 229.76 billion from RUB 551.77 billion. Gross loss amounted to RUB 101.97 billion against a profit of RUB 8.79 billion. Cost of sales amounted to RUB 331.7 billion, which is 38.9% below the 2019 level.
