In the Voronezh Region, on May 26, 2023, with the support of the Rosselkhoznadzor, the ceremonial opening of the boning and consumer packaging workshops of the AGROECO meat processing enterprise took place. The opening of capacities allows the group of companies to complete the formation of a pig breeding cluster and enter retail trade. This is stated in the bank's message.
AGROECO Group is completing the creation of a vertically integrated holding in pig farming: from the production of compound feeds to the processing and packaging of its own products. By 2024, the share of sales of packaged products will be 76%. Commissioning of all production sites will increase processing to 600 heads per hour, or 3.8 million heads per year. Thanks to the appearance of additional workshops, AGROECO Group will fully enter the pork retail trade.
The completion of the formation of a vertically integrated holding in pig farming by opening two workshops gave jobs to 1.4 thousand people. In total, 3.5 thousand people will be employed at the meat processing enterprise.
The total cost of the project is 15.1 billion rubles, 80% of which was issued by the Rosselkhoznadzor.
RSHB and AGROECO Group have been cooperating since 2012. During this time, the bank provided funds to the group of companies in the amount of 55 billion rubles. In 2022, AGROECO Group became one of the first recipients of a loan under the program of preferential lending to the backbone enterprises of the agro-industrial complex: the Rosselkhoznadzor issued 5 billion rubles.
The Rosselkhoznadzor has been operating in the Voronezh Region since 2000. During this time, the bank has invested 472.8 billion rubles in the region's economy, including 134.2 billion rubles to finance 113 projects for the construction and modernization of agricultural and other industries.
