The AK&M rating agency has confirmed the rating of Seligdar's non-financial statements at RESG 1, the highest level of disclosure of information on sustainable development in reports. Polymetallic Holding receives the highest rating for the second year in a row.
In accordance with the agency's methodology, Seligdar's reporting for 2024 received 86.8 points and was classified as the highest level. This rating is assigned to companies that receive a rating score in the range from 85 to 106.4.
Information on sustainable development is disclosed by the company as part of a single annual report. The theme of sustainable development runs through the text of the entire report, showing that ESG goals are among the company's top priorities.
Seligdar implements a sustainable development strategy based on the principles of social responsibility, economic efficiency and information openness, as well as reducing environmental impact. The logic of the report is built in accordance with the provisions of the strategy. The document focuses on ensuring decent and safe working conditions for employees. The specifics of the mining industry and difficult climatic working conditions require the holding to treat its staff with special care, and the report provides comprehensive information on efforts to attract and retain talented employees.
The section on environmental impact is structured taking into account the holding's industry specifics. It provides and describes measures to minimize damage when working with cyanides, the use of mainly recycled water supply, and the use of landfills as man-made deposits of precious metals involving them in recycling.
The report is easy to study, designed in a restrained business design. Sharp fluctuations in indicators are described in detail with an explanation of the reasons for the changes. The sections are accompanied by artistic photographs of people working for the company and atmospheric images of the nature of the northern region. Most of the statistics are presented in dynamics over three years.
Appreciating the quality and completeness of the report, the AK&M Rating Agency recommends expanding information on water use, in particular on the directions and quality of the discharged water.
