The AK&M rating agency has confirmed the rating of VimpelCom's non-financial reporting at RESG 1, the highest level of disclosure of information on sustainable development in reports. The rating of this level is assigned to the company for the fourth year in a row.
In accordance with the agency's methodology, VimpelCom's reporting for 2024 received 94 points and was classified as the highest level. This rating is assigned to companies that receive a rating score in the range from 85 to 106.4.
VimpelCom reports on its activities in the social, environmental, economic and management spheres on the pages of a specialized report on sustainable development. Statistical tables of key indicators have been prepared specifically for analysts as part of non-financial reporting for 2024, combined into a separate Databook document.
The company is one of the leading telecommunications operators. The main efforts are focused on the introduction of new digital technologies that make people's lives more convenient and safer. The report is structured in accordance with the core values adopted by the company. First of all, it is ensuring cybersecurity for customers, as well as the development of technological sovereignty and import substitution. A significant place in the report is occupied by a description of the company's activities to achieve national goals using advanced information solutions.
Traditionally, the report contains comprehensive information about staff care, employee development programs, and improving their quality of life. A separate section presents VimpelCom's achievements in contributing to the socio-economic development of the country. The company makes a significant contribution to the spread of digital technologies throughout Russia: These include infrastructure development, the use of artificial intelligence in the regional economy, and the development of digital services in the tourism industry and transport. Special attention should be paid to the section dedicated to VimpelCom's assistance in the public movement for the search for missing people and assistance in emergency situations in the regions. For many years, the operator has been providing modern infrastructure for organizing full-scale search and rescue operations and improving the efficiency of the squad. The research focuses on the completeness of the presentation of information on sustainable development in reports, as well as its accessibility. The study examines 96 markers.
