For the second year in a row, the AK&M rating agency assigns the highest (RESG 1) rating to Sberbank's non-financial statements.

In accordance with the agency's methodology, Sberbank's non-financial reporting for 2023 received 85.4 points and was assigned to the highest level. This rating is assigned to banks and financial companies that have received a rating score in the range from 75 to 90.6.

Sberbank PJSC discloses information about its activities in the field of sustainable development in a separate ESG report, which together with the management report form a single annual report. For the convenience of analysts and other stakeholders, the report contains an ESG Data Book with environmental indicators, climate impact indicators, and personnel data. The report was independently audited according to the list of significant indicators.

The bank's report makes it clear how important Sberbank's activities are for society and the state. Adhering to the principles of sustainable development, the bank not only achieves its business goals, but also implements large-scale social projects. The report describes the extensive educational activities of Sberbank PJSC. Here, special attention should be paid to information about the training and promotion of sustainable development ideas among a wide range of stakeholders.

The report is well structured, all the considered blocks of information are built in a single logic, where statistical data for four years are presented, goals, objectives, and management structure are indicated.

The reporting rating was assigned based on the Methodology adopted by the AK&M Rating Agency for rating socio-economic and environmental reporting of financial organizations (reporting in the field of sustainable development)

The ESG reporting rating has been calculated by the AK&M Rating Agency since 2020. The focus of the research is the completeness of the presentation of information about sustainable development in reports, as well as its accessibility. The study of financial organizations examines 83 markers. The main purpose of the rating is to show the professional community the best practices in disclosing information about the social and environmental activities of organizations.
