The American investment company Bain Capital is negotiating the acquisition of the German Aplona Group GmbH for 4 billion euros ($4.2 billion). This is reported by foreign media.
The French investment company PAI Partners, as a private shareholder of Aplona, is discussing the final terms of the proposed deal, which may be published in the coming days.
In 2023, PAI engaged consultants to assess the strategic prospects of the business, including the sale of Aplona, but decided to abandon the planned deal amid the low cost of offers from investors.
Aplona was previously part of the German industrial conglomerate Bilfinger SE. PAI bought Apleona from the Swedish investment company EQT AB for 1.6 billion euros in 2020.
Aplona GmbH is a real estate management company in the commercial, industrial and public sectors. The headquarters is located in Hesse (Germany) with 43,000 employees in 30 countries.
