American Electric Hydrogen acquires Ambient Fuels, a developer of hydrogen projects. This is stated in a press release from Electric Hydrogen.
Also, as part of the deal, Electric Hydrogen has entered into a strategic agreement with Generate Capital to provide financial solutions for hydrogen projects worldwide for up to $400 million.
This complementary agreement combines the technology of Electric Hydrogen electrolyzers with project financing. The company will be able to collaborate with clients in the field of joint development of hydrogen projects and provide targeted capital resources.
The Electric Hydrogen hydrogen plant uses the company's patented technology of high-power proton exchange membranes (HMS) to produce ultra-cheap hydrogen using renewable energy sources. The system, manufactured in the USA and supplied as modular units, reduces the total cost of the project by 60% and reduces deployment time.
The deal was completed in May 2025. Electric Hydrogen plans to start implementing the project capital in 2026.
