The American investment company Oaktree Capital Management expects to attract at least 800 million pounds ($ 1.1 billion) from new minority investors to finance the British Pure Data Centers Group. This is reported by foreign media.
In particular, Oaktree plans to sell 20-40% of Pure DC shares at an estimated total market value of 4-5 billion pounds. Negotiations are ongoing, and, accordingly, the volume of sales and timing may change.
In early 2025, Pure DC formed a joint venture with the British Segro Plc to build a 56 MW data center in London. The project will require about 1 billion pounds of capital investment, of which Segro will invest 150 million pounds in cash.
