The Moscow Region will be included in the list of territories for conducting an experiment on labeling alcohol imported into Russia with federal special brands. This was announced by the Ministry of Finance of Russia.
The draft decree of the Government of the Russian Federation on expanding the territory of the experiment on labeling with federal special stamps (FSM) of alcoholic beverages imported into the Russian Federation has been prepared by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.
The decision to expand the territory was made in order to minimize the additional costs of Russian importers of alcoholic beverages for interregional transportation.
"The Ministry of Finance, realizing the special importance of eliminating such risks for Russian importers, worked together with business entities and customs authorities to expand the territory of the experiment," said Nikita Zolkin, director of the Department of Customs Policy and Regulation of the Alcohol Market, quoted in the message.
"Taking into account the location of logistics capacities of almost all key importers and the availability of the necessary infrastructure for the implementation of the processes of applying FSM on the territory of the Central Federal District, as well as the existing possibility of ensuring effective customs control, the proposal of Russian importers to include the Moscow Region in the list of experimental territories was supported," N. Zolkin said.
Importers, owners of customs warehouses and owners of temporary storage warehouses will participate in the experiment on a voluntary basis.
