In 2020, banks restructured 1.8 million loan agreements with individuals for a total amount of about RUB 860 billion, according to the Bank of Russia's annual report.

Since June, the number of complaints about pandemic-related problems from consumers of financial services have been steadily decreasing as the banks and citizens get used to the new repayment holiday mechanism, the regulator notes.

Banks restructured 94.8 thousand loans for a total amount of RUB 853.5 billion provided to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which is 14.7% of the banks' total loan portfolio. This measure supported the solvency of SMEs, including those operating in pandemic-affected economic sectors, while preventing deterioration in the banks' SME loan portfolio.
